SITE Midwest is honored to announce a brand-new scholarship in honor of our founding leader, Jim Adams. Jim was a pivotal member of our SITE family and the entire incentive industry. He was a man of his word, a mentor to all, and firmly believed in the power that incentives had for businesses who embraced them.
If you ask any incentive leader across the globe what mattered the most to him, the answer would always be the same: Rule Structure and ROI.
We are especially proud to unveil this scholarship in 2022 as our current President, Lindsay Adams, not only knew Jim as an important industry leader, but also as her loving father.“I’ve known about SITE since I was a teenager because my father was such an active member and advocate. I remember him telling me how thrilled he was that there
was an organization that held people
accountable with a firm Code of Ethics,” shares Lindsay, “He made every effort to help people succeed. My dad was passionate about educational opportunities and networking events and he was a wonderful mentor - not just to me and my sister, but members of our industry from all over the world.”
Jim lived a very full life and put so much intention and energy into helping and guiding others. Of the many lessons Jim imparted on us, our favorite was that he would always remind us that no matter the challenges we were encountering, it was never bad news. Just an opportunity to learn and adjust. In his honor, we have created the No Bad News Scholarship.

One lucky winner will receive:

How to Apply
To apply for the No Bad News Scholarship, please follow these steps:

Write a short essay detailing an instance where you could show clear ROI from an incentive program you were part of leading. If you don’t have your own example, you are encouraged to reach out to someone in the incentive industry who agrees to have their success story shared. Please keep this anonymous and do not include client/company names

Agree to commit to joining the 2023 SITE Midwest Forum planning committee and supporting the Education components of our annual event
As perpetual learning was part of Jim’s greatest values, our goal is to continue his legacy and love of education. We plan to compile the applicant essays to share with our SITE Midwest and SITE Global communities. Nothing proves the value of our industry more than clear ROI. Sharing as many stories as we can will benefit every leader in our industry, and help us continue to walk in Jim’s footsteps.
